However, years after making waves in the Nigerian music industry, Slam seems to have embraced another phase in life working with one of Nigeria’s new generation banks, Diamond Bank Plc. Slam, who made an appearance at the 2014 Nigeria Music Video Awards, on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Eko Hotel and Suite, V.I, was on stage to present an award for the Best R&B Video.
And while speaking before presenting the award to EME’s Niyola who won the award with the video of her song, ‘Toh Bad,’ the singer said: ‘I’m not here for what you used to know me with; I am here for the sponsors of this year’s NMVA, Diamond Bank, we are the ones supporting music in Nigeria.’
