I’M STILL A LEARNER WHEN IT COMES TO RAP - JESSE JAGZ

Choc City artiste, Jesse Jagz, has been in the news recently especially about his love life which he has continued to give descriptions about his kind of woman. To him, his career is more important than love life for now.

Seen as one of Nigeria’s finest rapper, the singer does not believe in that line of his fans as he believes that he is still learning and would love to associate more with other rappers.

Jesse Jagz stated that he does not think there is anyone he can compete with in the industry because he does not see himself as a good rapper as he would gladly want to listen to others rap and learn from it.

“I don’t think there is anyone to compete with, because I don’t see myself as a very good rapper. I would probably like to stay at a place with a lot of rappers and listen to them rap so as to learn from their craft,” he told Vanguard.

MI Abaga, CEO of Chocolate City has revealed that both Jesse Jagz and former label artiste, made their music outside of Chocolate City Records, and not in the confinement of the Record label.

The 'Bad Belle' crooner, disclosed this in a recent interview with Naij, explaining that both artistes were not made by the record label.

He said, "It’s curious to know that both Brymo and Jesse made possibly their best music outside Chocolate City."

MI, described Jesse Jagz as a maverick, super gifted, but also has strong elements of unpredictability, features which make him a bit of a loose cannon.

“As for Jesse, I can say he made unarguably one of the best albums in the industry after Tuface Idibias’s hit album. And really, if not second best, it definitely is in top five best albums so far from here, I’m talking about Jesse’s Thy Nation Come."

He also talked about Brymo, increased speculations on his needs for a solid partnership to make commercially viable music and make it entertainment industry.

"It’s thrilling, remarkable too. With Brymo it’s been interesting listening to the kind of music he’s made and is making because it’s absolutely brilliant, So bold, so fearless and I just wish him true success." he ended.

Chocolate City record label singers, Ruby Gyang, and Jesse Jagz, may have a baby together but what many are wondering is if the two once love birds will soon end up as man and wife.

Ruby, who was a guest artiste at the usual Industry Nite event in Lagos, while performing on stage got a surprise stage appearance by Jesse, while she was performing her latest single, ‘Good Man.’

Both parties were hooked by HipTV where they spoke about what they feel for each considering the child they have together.

While Jesse was of the opinion that he cannot predict the future but only believes in the present, Ruby stated that they can still remain as best of friends but for the love aspect, it is long gone.

According to Ruby, “No, but we are together, we are friends and we have a child together but the love aspect is gone.”
