‘My mom wonders why I’m still single at 38′ – Nonso Diobi
Nollywood actor, Nonso Diobi has revealed the pressure he has had to deal with from his mother as far as the issue of marriage is concerned.
Nonso stated that his mother is somewhat confused that he doesn’t seem to be inching closer to marriage despite being 38 years old already.
Revealing the extent of the pressure that the elderly woman has mounted on him, he said: ‘My mum was going through my phone contacts this morning and she concentrated more on d female contacts wondering why I’m still single…. Lol.’
At 38 years old, the actor, who came to limelight in 2001 after featuring in a Nollywood movie titled Border Line, doesn’t seem to feel the pressure though.

Why You Need To Stop Watching Africa Magic’s Old Movies - Actor, Nonso Diobi Explains
Nollywood actor, Nonso Diobi, has challenged Nigerians to form the habit of supporting Nigerian movies rather than watching cable stations which showing old movies for viewer’s consumption.
Nonso made this call after being questioned by fans who accused him of not featuring in movies anymore the way he has been in the past.
The actor pointed that Nigerians keep investing their money on cable channels that shows them old movies rather than going out to purchase latest original Nigerian movies.
According to him, “For those of you that keeps asking me this endless questions, ‘you don’t act anymore, why’? Been long I saw your movie. When would you stop watching Africa Magic that shows old movies instead of going out to buy latest movies? Go out and buy Nollywood movies then you will know if I still act or not.

Nollywood Actor, Nonso Diobi Surprises Female Fan With N.1m
If recent happenings in the entertainment industry are anything to go by, especially with the way entertainers splash cash on some of their fans, it means the industry is doing well and booming financially.
Over the weekend, controversial actress, Tonto Dikeh, reportedly gave out cash to her stylist, Jeremiah Ogbodo, about half a million naira, just for him to spend for weekend.
Tonto, who visited her stylist on Friday night, had asked for the dude’s car keys, telling him she left her lipstick in his car. But to the amazement of Jeremiah, he found the money in his car the next day.
Now, Tonto’s colleague in the movie industry, Nonso Diobi, gave a fan of his N100,000. The lucky, fan, a female named Idara Udeme Umobong, was reportedly given the money to celebrate her birthday.
He paid the money into the lady’s bank account.
“Happy Birthday to @chubby_bonbon ....please manage that as your birthday present from me to u...have fun,” the actor wrote.

“I Would Love To Date Ini Edo”- Nonso Diobi Reveals
Nollywood actor Nonso Diobi spoke up about several issues in an interview with Ynaija on November 14, 2014, most especially his celebrity crush Ini Edo.
During the interview he opened up about who in the entertainment industry he would like to date and he mentioned actresses Uche Elendu and Ini Edo saying :
“I would definitely date Uche Elendu if I could. The truth is that I used to have a crush on her but thank God she is married now and another person is Ini Edo, I just love her sense of humor”
The actor who declared that he is indeed single clearly has a crush on who just parted ways with her husband of 5years Phillip Ehiagwina.

Nonso Diobi is quite an interesting Nollywood actor, who dodges the media like a plague with any kind of excuse he could lay his hands on.
The fair-skinned talented actor finally granted an interview where he opened up on the real reasons he is yet to settle down like his best friends and colleagues in the industry; Yul Edochie and Mike Ezeruonye
“Well I don’t want to rush into it marriage because it is a lifetime contract. Some that rushed into it are regretting now, because our ladies of nowadays are just nothing to write home about especially the ones that have quest for material things. It surprises some when I say I’m single but that is just the truth because I don’t want to make same mistake “
Recalling his encounter with such money seeking women he said, “I don’t want to talk about it because it brings back many bad memories when I do. I’m single at the moment because I have got nothing serious with anyone”
On who he would love to date in the entertainment industry, he said “I would definitely date Uche Elendu if I could. The truth is that I used to have a crush on her but thank God she is married now and another person is Ini Edo, I just love her sense of humor”
Nonso also believes that there's nothing wrong with a woman being the bread winner of a family as long as there's a understanding.
"I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a woman being the bread winner, as long as there is mutual understanding and love. However a man should try to always be the head of his home because women will always be women," he advised.
