Pastor Annoints Actress, Uche Ogbodo Daughter without Father’s Presence

Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo, over the weekend dedicated her child in the presence of the Lord and she was welcomed by the church. It is definitely a good development, but where is the father of the child when the baby was being dedicated?

It would be recalled that the actress earlier in 2014, was speculated to have abandoned her sick husband, Ato Ubby, due to poverty after a secret traditional wedding at her home town in Nkanu East, Enugu state to her Norway based ex-Nigerian footballer.

To some extent, the actress should have invited the father of the baby to come or the pastor should have asked the father’s presence rather than going ahead with the dedication as if the baby’s father was no more.

According to the actress, “Hmmm! Took me a while to come to terms with all that happened.. But in all I am grateful to God for the Strength to carry on amidst the struggle.. Thank God for the gift of this amazing little girl who has shown me Undying Love no end! #loveMyChinagorom.”

A few months back, Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo, walked out of her engagement to Ato Ubby, barely 10 months after the lovebirds got engaged traditionally.

The controversial actress, who has come out to address what is as good as a marriage crash, said there is no possibility of reconciling with her ex husband.

And although she gave birth to a baby girl a few months back, she said she is still very open to the idea of getting married again sometime in the future.

Speaking in an interview with Encomium magazine recently, Uche said: ‘Bygone is Bygone. I am open to anything. I will be hopeful but I am not ready. I am taking a long break but I wouldn’t close my eyes to the possibility of marriage. I will shine my eyes next time.’ Speaking on motherhood, she said it is all about ‘the unconditional love and unquestionable love. This is someone loving you unconditionally. It is quite difficult to explain the love between mother and child.

‘The first scan said I had twins but along the way, one did not grow. I had another scan it was still a boy, then another it was still a boy. Not until I got to America that the scan said it was a girl. All through I was having different dreams. In the dream, it was a baby girl I was seeing. Someone even wanted to give me a girl in the dream but I rejected it. I didn’t buy baby things until I was seven months (gone). Even at that I bought Unisex things,’ she said.

After the marriage crash and a baby to look after Uche is set for another life, which according to her, is definitely going to be better than living with lies and under the shackles of marriage. She has everything all figured out and the first thing that counts now is her acting career.

“Of course, I’m going to take on more daring roles, that’s my career and I’m only going to keep improving myself. As an actress, there’s nothing that I cannot do. There’s nothing I can’t do in a movie, once it’s a movie. I can even take up a lesbian role. But in real life I’m not a lesbian, don’t get it twisted. That’s why I’m an actress, its make-believe, it’s not who I am. I’m only going to do my career the way I’m supposed to do it and it puts food on my table so you don’t feed me, you don’t judge me, that’s it”, she said without bating an eyelid.

She also revealed more of her music plans, “I haven’t come around to releasing a single but I have it at the back of my mind, really. I’ve done some previously, but I didn’t release any one. I’ve done about six tracks produced by Phyno some years ago” she said.
