I Still Believe In Keeping Virginity Till Marriage - Jodie

After her beautiful song, 'KuchiKuchi, catapulted her to limelight, Jodie has gradually warmed her way into the hearts of Nigeria music lovers.

The African Woman as she's often referred to had always said she's a virgin and would only lose it on her wedding night.

Adding to that, in a recent interview she talked more about it and why she held her belief tight.

According to her, "the question of sex and virginity is a private one...Now – to the crux, there are many people out there who don’t know who they are or where they are going. Forget the media hype and paparazzi: if people would truthfully bare their inner thoughts, no one wants to stay with someone who is “the national cake”.

Keep your privates to yourself and your wedded partner. Forget all that “new age” or “modern” talk on sex and virginity. It may look “cool” to be a sexually loose person on television or magazines, but in real life, people actually respect those who have self control. If the whole world says virginity is archaic, would you want your daughter/son to “go with the flow”?

I don’t take-in everything I see/read on the media…some people who air certain controversial views don’t all air them because they believe in their lip confessions…sometimes it’s to control other people who don’t want to make use of their minds…some even do so just to have more Facebook or Twitter “likes” – such superficial or shady motives seems to be powering the voice of the crowd. But even if it takes centuries, “truth” will be truth."

Kunle Afolayan’s Brother And Actor, Aremu Plays With Lady’s Boobs

For Nollywood actor and brother of prolific filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, Aremu, seems not to have regards for women's ‘milk factory’.

The handsome and controversial actor, who reportedly married an older lover few years ago, was caught on camera ‘playing’ with a lady’s b@obs, but the lady in question seems to be enjoying the fun and unconcerned.

Is Oge Okoye’s Marriage Still Intact?

One of the questions on the lips of some ‘busy bodies’ in Nollywood is ‘if the marriage of sultry actress, Oge Okoye is still intact or has already crashed like a badly arranged pack of cards, just like some marriages in the industry?’

It would be recalled that the Anambra State-born screen goddess got married to one Stanley Duru some years ago, but both of them have not been seen together for some time now.
While the man is based abroad, Oge Okoye is in Nigeria and some have asked if they are running a distant marriage.

The actress recently took to social media to show off her adorable children; a boy and a girl. The talented script-interpreter did not mention or give credits to any man for the wellbeing of the kids; instead, she sent her 'kisses' to God for being her 'best daddy and soul provider'.

She captioned the photograph, "High above the sky....into the clouds/to the moon then back...that's how much Mum loves these two lovely bunnies...right about time...Thank you my best Daddy/my Very own Best Friend/ my Soul Provider / Giver of Peace/that's you GOD.muahhhhhhhh!!"

Those who claimed to know hinted that the marriage of the fair and pretty actress has hit the rock. They further alleged that Oge Okoye has been responsible for the upkeep of the children. The rumour-mongers also claimed that both parties have separated and have kept this away from the media.

Yoruba Movie Industry More Accommodating Than Nollywood - Actress Regina

The Yoruba and English speaking industries are the two major sectors in the Nigerian film industry.

While there have been a number of actors in the core movie industry in Nigeria called Nollywood that have crossed over to the Yoruba sector, such cannot be said of Yoruba actors in Nollywood.

In recent times, only Funke Akindele and Eniola Badmus have been successful in Nollywood after moving from the Yoruba film industry, after being popular in Yoruba movies.

Regina Chukwu, who some would have expected to be active in Nollywood, has made a name for herself in the Yoruba movie industry.

According to her, the Yoruba film industry is more accommodating than Nollywood. She pointed out that apart from that, the sector of the industry does not discriminate like the core Nollywood. To her, she is comfortable in the Yoruba movie industry.

I Play The Role Of A Professional Lesbian, But....Yvonne Nelson

Beautiful, leggy Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has for the umpteenth time denied being a lesbian.

In a recent interview, Yvonne still maintained she has never being one but that she only plays the role in movies. And as a professional she must act any role given to her.

"Lesbianism is against my religious beliefs, it’s against my cultural norms and I think it was very mischievous for people to insinuate such about someone they hardly knew. The rumor was started by a notorious website in Ghana last year when they reported that they had never seen me with a man. In their warped and twisted calculation, I was thus a lesbian. Can you imagine such crass reasoning?

That they had not seen me with a man, and may have seen me with my girlfriends going out to have fun, and then automatically I was a lesbian. It was a hatchet job – an attempt to discredit me, but they all failed. I am heterosexual and would remain one till the end. When you are in the public light as I have been blessed and privileged to being, your life becomes a public property and some mischievous people will say all manner of things about you. It comes with the territory, so I forgive them”, she explained.

Check out 2face Idibia’s opening outfit at AFRIMA.

Last night, Decmber 27,2014, Nigerian superstar, 2face Idibia co-hosted the debut edition of All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) along with Democratic Republic of Congo’s female broadcaster and music presenter, Madinga Sona Maria.

At the awards, 2face stepped out on stage for the first time in an Egyptian outfit with all the trappings of royalty. The Pharaoh-inspired outfit surely got all eyes fixed on him and set the night off in an exciting manner.

If you see some pictures of Tuface and me, you would be shocked.... - Sound Sultan

The fact that he is a very popular musician who has indeed stood the test of time, doesn't stop Lanre Fasasi musically known as Sound Sultan from being his shy self.

To cover up his shyness, the Naija Ninja co-owner had to develop fondness for different colours and shapes of Hat.

He recalled how it all started; "I was shy when I was in school. While on campus, I would wear a cap to cover my face. I was always hiding from the stares and glares of people because they made me quite uncomfortable. I still wear them because I am a shy person. I have lots of hats in my closet. I am sure they are above 100.

I like very colourful things and I also believe that creativity knows no bounds. If you see someone dressing like a creative person, just leave him alone because he is the only one that understands what is going on in his mind. Some say there is a thin line between creativity and craziness.

My dressing reflects my creativity and sometimes, I have to tone it down because if I should dress the way I really want to, I would be like a rainbow. I really want people to see how colourful my mind is."
The Multi-talented artiste also went down memory lane, recalling the most embarrassing fashion error he has ever made.

"If you see some of my old pictures, there are a lot of fashion errors there. I used to wear some funny glasses then. If you see some pictures of Tuface and me, you would be shocked at some things we wore but that was what we had. That is what we call fashion error now. Back then, we felt like fashion icons whenever we wore those clothes," he said.

I Want The Kind Of Man In The Book Of Proverbs - Juliet Mgborukwe

Beautiful TV personality cum actress, Juliet Mgborukwe has carved a niche for herself in Nollywood as one of the faces to watch out for.

Although, she’s has been heartbroken and as well suffered a broken marriage, the sexy role interpreter still believes in love and wants an ideal man from the book of Proverbs.

“My ideal man is the man in the Book of Proverbs. A man who will let me live my dreams, shine without being intimidated and be proud of me just like I am of him; that is a rare species. For me, love means selflessness which is giving yourself solely to the happiness and well-being of others. I have had my fair share of heartbreak. Really, it has a very bitter taste.”

Just like other actresses who had lamented on the being victims of sex-for-role which is rumoured to be quite rampant in Nollywood, Juliet wasn’t an exception.

She stated her take on the cancer worm eating deep into the Nigerian film sector, “It is an unpleasant situation; very unpleasant I must confess. I have faced such scenarios before but I never gave in. You see, for me, acting is a passion. I am not desperate for roles; not at all. I have turned down such offers and I am glad I did. I won my award based on sheer credibility so I don’t see why I should sleep with anybody to get a role. That would be belittling myself; it is like the Esau Syndrome which is selling your birthright for a plate of porridge. The movies I have featured were based on merit. There are still good producers and directors out there who want to make real movies with excellent cast and those are the kind of people I have been working with,” she said.

But I turned him down again… He had 28 wives, remember Remi, his first wife? And he married 27 of his dancers. He also had numerous concubines.

This was in the 80s. So tell me which intelligent woman, in her right mind, would want that deal of chaos? who would want that? I am not answering anymore of your questions.

I didn’t marry Fela because I am a very smart, blessed woman….I was protected by the universe from him, and that’s why I did not marry him. I submit to spiritual guidance, that was love and divine intervention… he was sent by divine intervention to make a change for black people in this world.”

Confession: How I went Extra Miles Just to Act - Didi Ekanem

Fast rising Nollywood actress, Didi Ekanem, has disclosed that she has been enjoying her Nollywood acting, but has been faced with the challenges of producers not believing in her acting abilities and she has to positively go the extra mile just to prove her worth to them.

“Challenges in the true sense of the word, like not really having producers believing in you and of course, you know yourself, you know you have the talent but the producer doesn't see it your way. As an actress I have had to go the extra mile, not in the negative sense, to make people see beyond the looks and see deep into the beautiful talent within. I thank God I have gone beyond that now,” she stated.

While speaking further with Vanguard newspaper, the actress who is naturally blessed with bum noted that as an actor, she should be able to interpret any script given to her because that is what makes her a professional.

She explains, “First of all, my job is to act. So, I am supposed to be able to play every character. I can do a sex scene but of course, you know that it’s not like you’re going to have sex for real, probably just take off some part of your clothing and just act it. As an actor, I have to play every role; I can do a sex scene. I can play as a lesbian, in fact I have a movie that I played as a lesbian and I played it so well.”

Didi revealed that though she is naturally blessed with a bum, but people have failed to see deep the acting aspect of her and have paid so much attention on her backside and rather than see her as a talented actress, they now see her as a sexy actress.

To worsen the matter more, the actress explained that a mad man had once grabbed her bum in public when she was about buying something along the road and she screamed and ran leaving her shoes behind.

I can’t marry a poor man - Liz Anjorin

 In an Interview with Punch Newspaper, the actress made her stand known about marriage;

Are you not bothered that you are still single at this age?
I am not bothered at all. I am a grown up woman. I have to relax and take my time.

But are the men coming or is your profession stopping them from asking for your hand in marriage?
Ah! The men do come. Look at what is going on among my colleagues. If you get married to the one that doesn’t have money, you will find out that he is a gold digger. If you get married to a rich man, you will find out that he may have another wife somewhere. Immediately that wife gets wind of his impending marriage, she will go to the press. We just have to be careful. Even if you are getting married to a married man, the man should be sincere enough to take you to the senior wife. If she accepts you, good; if she doesn’t accept you, it is not by force. Some of these men will not bother to tell you they are already married. When you start the relationship, the story will change. It might be that you have invested something in that relationship; it might not even be money. You might have even dumped your boyfriend because of him. So, because one woman comes out to say that you are dating her husband, will you now abandon a relationship you have nurtured? No way! Women are so many. Even if you give a guy 100 women, you will still find out that some women will be without a man because we are so many.

But how come your colleagues all want to marry comfortable men?
Poor men are terrible people. They can do and undo. Because they don’t have money or name to protect, they will be ruthless. They will even be after your life. You will see them going from one newspaper to another saying nasty things about you. A comfortable man will hardly go on air and abuse his wife. I will take my time to get married and when I choose, it will be the right person.

Do you intend to marry a comfortable man too?
I will not lie. I cannot marry ‘e go better’ man. Please, it will not happen. What a man has in his bank account doesn’t always determine if he is rich or not. But his attitude also matters. The guy has to be trustworthy. He too has to trust me as his wife.

I Can't Be Caught Repeating Same Cloths - Actress, Liz Ajorin

While growing up, as a kid, parents will say there is no money for new cloths and one is left with no choice but to wear same cloths for different occasions. Sometimes, the kids have to repeat Christmas cloths and nobody would complain because the cloths would be very neat and nicely ironed to sooth the occasions.

These days, thanks to the evolution of various vocations where one can get trained and latter earn a living for himself which will enable the choice of materials needed without any parents control.

Nollywood actress, Liz Ajorin, has disclosed that despite her love for fashion, she cannot say if she can repeat same cloths on different occasions.

Liz explained that though she has never done it, but can’t rule out the fact that some day, the money could be available to afford different cloths as possible but may not be able to tell what will happen the next day.

She noted that as an actress, she is expected to have many clothes, shoes and bags, but her major love has been her fancy for jewelries which she said could sometimes be more expensive than the car being driven.

“I just wish people would focus more on my talent than my bum” – Nollywood’s Didi Ekanem

While some people use corsets and waist trainers to achieve an hourglass figure, some women are naturally born that way.
Gifted Nollywood actress Didi Ekanem talked with Vanguard about how her blessing is a gift, but also brings its set of trouble, including a groping from a ‘mad man’!
Here are some excerpts,

How do you feel having one of the biggest bums in Nollywood?
It’s a good feeling and a wonderful one. But I won’t lie to you, as much as I love it so much, I just wish people would focus more on my talent than my bum. All the concentration out there is on my bum not my talent. I would honestly wish people to see me as a talented actress not a sexy one. But my bum is not allowing people to see me deep down, to see the person and the talent.

Seriously, is your bum natural?
People always say this whenever they see my bum. Last time I was on Linda Ikeji, I read comments people made and there were more questions whether my bum was real or worked on. Some said it is made of plastic but you are here now and can see there is no artificial embellishment or augmentation. My bum is real, it’s like 101% real, I was born this way, I was born like this. I’ve had it since I was in JS1 in fact that was when I started noticing it.

What’s the craziest thing somebody has done to you on its account?
Craziest thing? A mad man actually grabbed my bum in public, while walking on the road. That’s like the craziest thing, what else can possibly be crazier than that? I was just passing, I wanted to get something and next thing, he just walked up to me and grabbed my bum from behind. When I turned, he was still holding it like a mad man and I screamed, I ran, left my shoes and everything. People just stood there and they were just laughing.
Didi posted this photo on Instagram of her in 2011 – with a smaller frame but still a big behind.

Between Omotola and Legendary Academy Award winning Director Steven Spielberg

Yes, legendary Academy Award winning director Steven Spielberg knows Lupita Nyong'o of Kenya who is famous for winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her critically acclaimed role of "Patsey" in Steve McQueen's multiple award winning historical drama "12 Years a Slave" (2013), and he also knows Rachel Mwanza of Democratic Republic of the Congo who won the coveted Silver Bear for Best Actress at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival in February 2012, Best Actress at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, Vancouver Film Critics Circle in 2012 and Best Actress at the 1st Canadian Screen Awards for her unforgettable role as "Komona" in the Academy Award nominated film "War Witch" (French: Rebelle) by Kim Nguyen. But Spielberg did not know Nigeria's Queen of Nollywood Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, aka Omosexy when he met her for the first time in 2013.

"She scores a zero on the Hollywood Richter scale. She has never starred in a major motion picture. Her most recent film, Last Flight to Abuja, means nothing to devotees of Netflix and LoveFilm," reported Ben Arogundade for the Telegraph of UK on August 28, 2013. And went on to add that world famous Steven Spielberg did not know her even though she was sitting next to him at the TIME 100 Gala dinner she was attending as one of the 2013 TIME 100 Most Influential People in the world.

He did not know her even though she has acted leading roles in more than 300 Nollywood movies and has her own reality TV show "The Real Me" on the AfricaMagic channel of M-Net Africa's DStv, MultiChoice's digital satellite TV service launched in 1995.

But why?

Steven Spielberg did not know Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, because she has never starred in a major motion picture by Hollywood standards.

What of her role as "Anya" in Chineze Anyaene's "Ijé-the Journey" in 2010?

That was a great role that I would even call an Oscar performance, but "Ijé" was not a major motion picture and did not even have any Hollywood theatrical release like Tony Abulu's "Doctor Bello" and Biyi Bandele's "Half of a Yellow Sun" of 2013, even though the two films were among the worst box office flops of the year. Moreover, all the hype of Nollywood being the second largest film industry in the world does not resonate in Hollywood.

Omotola is yet to star in a major motion picture and until she does, Spielberg and other leading world class directors will continue to ignore her. And she must not rest on the oars of her Nollywood glories, because the only way she can prove that she is a world class actress is to compete with the best in motion picture where Lupita Nyong'o, Rachel Mwanza , Leleti Khumalo, Wunmi Mosaku, Carmen Elizabeth Ejogo and other African actresses are making headlines and making millions of dollars. She has conquered Nollywood and now is the time to step up and move on to greater heights in her acting career until she can walk on the red carpet at the Cannes and Oscars as a competitor and not as a spectator.

Nollywood is a big business—contributing 1.2% to Nigeria’s gross domestic product and employing more than a million people, according to a report by the Economist on Selling BlackBerry Babes. And it is about time for Nollywood movies to make box office records in Hollywood.

For those who don't know who is Steven Spielberg.

He is an American film director who is one of the most accomplished important filmmakers in the history of motion picture. He has won two Academy Awards for his "Schindler's List" (1993 / 66th Academy Awards) and "Saving Private Ryan" (1998 / 71st Academy Awards) and has received a total of 7 Academy Award nominations.

Most people in the world know him for his blockbusters "Jaws" (1975), "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" (1982), and "Jurassic Park (1993). His films have made more than US$8.5 billion worldwide with Spielberg making more than US$3 billion according to Forbes.

Stop Test Running Your Love Life On Social Media - John Dumelo Warns

Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, has called on people that display the pictures of their spouse on social media to be careful has they keep giving people the avenue to question them when challenges come up.

The actor stated that relationship is nice and it is good to make a loved one feel special but it is not until the picture are displayed on social media that means the love is so high.

He noted that he has observed that people after displaying the pictures of their loved ones, when they breakup, they go back and delete the pictures questioning if they were test running their love life.

10 Nigerian Cities With The Most Beautiful Women,You Won’t Believe This.

The debate regarding the Nigerian city with the most beautiful women has been raging on for decades. The most controversy has always been whether it’s Port Harcourt or Lagos. Aside these two great cities, we have other cities in Nigeria with beauties. It is time to put the debate to rest, once and for all. According to a careful and detailed research, this list will shock you. Well, your city just might be the crowned winner.

10) Asaba

Coming in at number 10 is Asaba, the current capital city of Delta State. It’s a city of about 150,000 people. Personally, I think this city should come in like the 6th or 7th position. Asaba has produced many pretty women. Well, the people have spoken

9) Kano

Surprisingly, Kano is making the list at number 9. I’m sure some of you will question this. If you have visited Kano, you will agree with this choice.

8) Jos

Jos in Plateau state of Nigeria is known for its near Europe like weather. Little did some of you that Jos is home to some of the most beautiful women in Nigeria. Pretty ladies abound in this lovely city.

7) Calabar

Calabar in Cross Rivers  is another beautiful city with some of Nigeria’s finest. Calabar has contributed many beautiful ladies to the nation.

6) Owerri

The capital city if Imo state, south east of Nigeria is blessed many things, including beautiful ladies. Owerri is coming in at #6 ahead of cities like Asaba and Calabar could be a surprise to many but, have you have ever been to this great city?

5) Lokoja

Nobody can fault this choice. A friend once told me the tribe with the most beautiful ladies in Nigeria is the Ebira tribe. Of course I argued, until I visited. The stories I heard growing up just don’t add up anymore.

4) Benin

Anyone who visited this city will understand why it’s making the list. Not only are the ladies pretty, they have class too. Trust me when I say this. You will never believe, until you visit.

3) Abuja

Nigeria’s capital city is home to a fraction of all the tribes in Nigeria. Each tribe is represented in Abuja. I guess that contributed to how this great city made #3 on the list.

2) Lagos

Yea. Now the big league. Lagos held the top spot for a while and could have easily passed for number one again, but for the influx of ladies from two particular cities. I won’t mention names just yet. I don’t want their people to come after me…lol. Watch out for my next post, where I shall reveal the cities with the ugliest ladies. You find out then.

1) Port Harcourt

Port Harcourt comfortably sits at the number one spot. You all will agree with me that Port Harcourt is a city where the most beautiful ladies reside. Port Harcourt is overtaking Lagos because of a reason I gave earlier. It’s simple, if it’s a must you marry a beautiful lady, go to Port Harcourt.

Tonto Dikeh Shows off Her Tattoos, Says ‘So in Love with Every Inch of Me’

There is nothing like self-appreciation, and even though a number of people have criticized Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh’s numerous tattoos in the past, she is letting the world know that she is in love with every inch of her.

She posted a picture on her Instagram page a few minutes ago that shows off her back and a number of her tattoos and she captioned ‘So in love with evry inch of me’.
