I Can’t Allow My Wife Have A Male Best Friend - Daniel Ademinokan
At the beginning of the year, star actress, Stella Damasus announced that every Monday on i2radio in Atlanta, USA, she would be hosting her talk show, ‘Undiluted with Stella Damasus’; Hard talk. No barriers. No limitations.
Yesterday, Monday, January 19, 2015, her theme was ‘should a married man/woman allow their spouses have a best friend of the opposite s3x?’
Surprisingly, one of Stella’s guests on the show was Daniel Ademinokan, her rumoured husband.
On her views on a married man/woman allowing their spouses have a best friend of the opposite s3x, she said, “For a married woman or man, I do not subscribe to having a best friend of the opposite s3x.”
On his take on same subject matter, Daniel Ademinokan explained that, "Before I got married, I had many female friends. One of them I fell in love with because we were just so fond of ourselves, but she didn’t feel the same way for me.
“From that experience, I was smart enough to know that it may not be safe and sane to discuss issues that will stir up emotions. Usually, best friends don’t set boundaries. I personally as a guy would not advice to have a best friend that is female or vice versa.
“Stay safe, the Bible says, ‘flee from all appearances of evil’. Is it possible that a man can be married and his wife is not his best friend?
“If your wife is not your best friend as a man, you have a problem. Try the best you can to make your wife your best friend. If you feel your wife doesn’t understand you, look for a guy. Not a female because emotions may stir up.
“I’m not saying you can’t have a female friend but there should be boundaries. Your character is like smoke; somehow, it will find its way out. When there are issues, don’t wait for someone else to console your spouse.
I will not condone my wife having a male best friend and I myself will NOT have a female best friend."

I Don’t Care What Press Write About Me Anymore - Iyanya
Iyanya, whose real name is Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, is an artiste who has made top charting songs. The sexy singer has also become a household name in Nigeria, winning several awards since he gained limelight some years ago after emerging winner of a music talent hunt show.
The Calabar, Cross River State-born singer is known with hit singles like 'Your Waist', 'Kukere', 'Flavour', 'Mr. Oreo' among many others.
When asked what he would have loved to change as regards his status, the rumoured ex-lover of Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, said, "Fame is fame. I do not think there is anything that should change in this fame."
Speaking on how he reacts to stories being written about him, Iyanya said he does not get bothered about what the media write about him.
"So if you notice, I am not one of those guys that would hear stuffs they would write about me and I would start writing back. You know why? (Because) I do not really care. They are just doing their job. If I was nobody, nobody would write about me. So it comes with the territory," he said.

"Me and Ubi Franklin just looked back on the whole thing; where we have come from, and we just said 'We are made men! We worked our way up.

I Quit Nollywood To Save My Marriage - Uche Elendu
There have been different views on the issue of marriage and career of a lady. While some believe that a lady should put her home ahead of her job, others have an opposite view on that.
But Nollywood actress, Uche Elendu, in an interview with The Sun, believes marriage is the peak of a woman's life. She stated that she had to give up her acting career to nurture her marriage.
"I was at the peak of my career when I got married. I still believe that marriage is important in a woman’s life.
After I got married, I had a three-year break because I had to take care of my daughter and keep my home.
And after that, I returned to my job," she disclosed.
With the scourge of marriage in Nollywood crashing, the actress spoke on how she has been able to keep her home.
"I am not in a position to judge anybody. Marriage is a union between two different people with different background and mentality; different thought processes, different ambitions, different characters and behaviours.
“Consequently, it is a normal thing for couples to have problems but it is your ability to keep your head down and bring things back to the way they used to be that matters. It is not as if I don’t quarrel with my husband.
“If you stay with a man for 24 hours in the same house, you are bound to have arguments, but it is your ability to be mature about it and the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life can turn things around for good," Uche said.
She also talked about the cause of not yet getting any endorsements due to her break from acting to take care of her home.
"Actually, I think it is because I took a break as a result of my marriage, and the fact that I have always been in the East. But this year, I am moving high," she declared.
More Facts Emerge On Muna Obiekwe’s Untimely Death
Although some Nigerians and Nollywood buffs are yet to swallow the pains of the shocking death of talented and energetic actor, Muna Obiekwe, who passed away at a specialist hospital in Festac Lagos, on Sunday, January 18, 2015, but more facts are beginning to spring up on what might be the cause of his death.
According to the information gathered by us, Muna as an orphan had a godmother, Mrs Vera Kanu, who confessed that the late actor was addicted to alcohol.
"Everybody in the industry knows Muna drinks a lot; even when he’s shooting in the North, he has a way of finding alcohol. He fell into it, after he lost his parents in a ghastly motor accident. As a matter of fact, he was supposed to be in that car with them but by stroke of luck, he wasn’t and was spared.
“Afterwards, Muna took solace in liquor but that never affected his job. He was just like Sam Loco; he could drink the whole sea but when he hears the director shout ‘action,’ he gets into character. Muna was a method character despite his flaws," Mrs. Kanu hinted.
Shedding more lights on Muna's hidden personality, his godmother said the actor drank heavily despite doctor’s warnings.
“I was with him to the last hour. He was to do up to 20 dialyses; the doctor said if the dialysis improved his condition, the worse would certainly be over. He will be okay only if he stays away from alcohol but you know our artiste.
“He was managing it on his own. As a matter of fact, he has been managing it for a while until Ejiro Okurame and I came on board to help. We were combining resources to help him but there was very little we could do to save him. We had to enlist the help of Patience Ozokwo and Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) at a point. They rendered the help they could until he died," she added.
We learnt that Muna was celebrity who wanted to keep his life private. He was said to have tried to keep his illness away from the press or his colleagues and not tagged as ‘Nollywood beggars’.
It was gathered that the fair-complexioned actor, who often plays the role of a lover boy, was scared of the press. Muna was not ready to beg or raise money because he was too ashamed of what his colleague or press will say, we gathered.
“The guy was private. He kept to himself a lot and most importantly, kept his private life private; for instance, many people did not even know he was married with two children. Such was his life. He didn’t want press or his colleagues to start prying.
“He was particularly afraid of the press; hence, he shut his colleagues out of his pain. He knew if some Nollywood people got to know about it, the press would also get to know. He refused to beg to save Nollywood’s image, he in-turn, lost himself," one of his colleagues, who pleaded to remain anonymous squealed.
Another concerned star actor, who as well doesn't want his name mentioned, on account of Muna's death, begs the Nigerian press to take it easy with celebrities.
“We are human too and like every other person, we have our pains. The press needs to be less judgmental. If he wasn’t too scared of the press, perhaps, he would have reached out for help,” the added urged.
More facts also revealed that Muna discovered his kidney problem a long time ago but like most people, he thought he could manage it. He reportedly ignored the pain and continued working without paying much attention.
According to a close source, he only took his drugs and medication once in a while as ‘Muna never believed the ailment could lead to his death.
“He believed he would survive it like he did the gunshot and death of his parents. He was not a man given to worrying about things. He believed it was not a coincidence his parents named him Munachimso, a name which means God is walking with me.
“The guy was private. He kept to himself a lot and most importantly, kept his private life private; for instance, many people did not even know he was married with two children," the source squealed.
Surprisingly, until his death, Muna was the first cousin of Yul Edochie which makes him a member of Pete Edochie’s family but no words have been hard from the Edochie's camp concerning the burial arrangements of the great Iroko that fell.

"Fuck Your Unrealistic Dreams" - KENYAN RAPPER FIRES ICE PRINCE
The social media can be used for many reasons of stating one’s opinion concerning issues and events that happen anywhere in the world and it can reach a whole diverse audience within a timeframe of issuance.
For this reason one social media platform has been employed as Kenyan entertainer, Mwafreeka Mwaf has taken a swipe at Nigeria’s Ice Prince for his ‘sad’ misrepresentation of the African dream and hustle in the video of ‘N-WORD’.
Mwaf had called the Nigerian a ‘cat’ saying, “Just watched a video by some Nigerian cat called Ice Prince and the song is called N Word. And am actually sad.
HipHop to me has always been the avenue of self expression and as it was said (although misused too) in the 90s "Keeping It Real."
The Kenyan advise Ice Prince to get a comprehension of the culture of rap before going on to rap about the vanities just to get fame or to be called a rapper as international rappers in the develop countries can actually afford the cars and houses they rap about.
”Understand the culture punks and stop embarrassing yourselves. Jay Z, BeyoncĂ© and Lil Wayne can afford Bugattis, and you can't.”
He went on to diss Ice Prince in a direct jibe in which he demands that African should be more cherished and represented in a more accepted light than he did in the song, “F**k your UNREALISTIC dream, am shitting on your dream. Use HipHop to represent Africa not to portray us as clowns.”
Mwaf praised the importation and placement of Africa on the international stage by late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, “Paul McCartney, Questlove, Jay Z & Will Smith featured in this documentary about an African who repped us all and BEFORE THE INTERNET questioned modern religions and their relevance to us Africans…”

I Am Still An Upcoming Artiste - Timaya
Here is an excerpt from a recent interview with the Egberipapa 1 of Bayelsa ;
People have this notion that Timaya is arrogant
Thank you, but that is old news. As you can see, I'm not one. It's just like you journalists coming to ask me about my relationship with Empress Njamah In this 2014? That is crab and I expect more from you journalists.
We are now in a political season, will you also go home to Bayelsa to sing for politicians?
No! I don't sing praises to men again, I sing praises to God. If they invite me to come perform in an event, I'll go and do my thing but not to go and sing the praises of a politician. Our politics leaves much to be desired and I'm not planning to vote in the first place. Maybe if things change, I'll change my mind.
Your song 'Sanko' is becoming a hit song and it's trending. How did you pull it through?
Yea, I give thanks to God for the success. 'Sanko' is a dance hall song and it shows that Timaya is still very much relevant and my spirit is hungry. I'm still an upcoming artiste. I've so much energy to give and fans should watch out for the rebranded Timaya.
You now have a new hairstyle and your kind of song has changed
It was deliberate. The face of music is changing and you must change with the times or you'll be left behind. I used to do dreadlocks because I wanted to be known and different. So I made myself look crazy at a point in my life by wearing dreads. The things and controversial things I did then was eliberate for the media to report because I was just an unknown artiste from Bayelsa. Now with my new look, folks say I look different. Well that is what they call rebranding.
Your music has changed, what's the secret?
Yeah, it's all about hardwork. No Nigerian musician has ever rebranded 100% and changed his music. I have done that. I realised that what brought us this far in music industry is the old music that impacts the society and enhances our cultural value not the kind of music and noise that we hear today. I also did those bad music but I have turned it low and I'm now tuned to do more good music.
How Did You Know I Now Have A Bigger ‘Backside’? - Niyola Asks During Interview
She was announced the winner of Best Vocal Performance (Female) at the 2014 Headies award and her name is Eniola Akinbo otherwise known as Niyola.
Here is an excerpt from her recent interview;
Who actually styles you?
It depends, today, I might be wearing April by Kunbi, but most of the times, I style myself but occasionally have people style me.
Your butt looks bigger, did you enhance it?
How did you know the size of my butt? Have you ever seen my butt before?
We used to see the size when you started singing but it's apparently bigger now?
I have no answer please.
Do you think female artistes are now more appreciated in Nigeria?
Of course, you get appreciated for the good works you put out there.
What have been your challenges in the industry so far?
I can't start to count because I take challenges well. I believe that for you to succeed, you must face challenges and at the point you're sure you've overcome some, that's when you know that you're growing. It's like when you are a seamstress, you want to sew and you get pricked by a needle, you'd not say that the problem you have is that you are hurt. It's your job and you take everything that comes like that.
Do you see yourself quitting EME musical company anytime soon?
No, I don't see myself leaving, at least not at the moment.

“Yes. A lot of people say that and that’s Nigerians for you. People are affiliated to success. When people see that you’re doing well, they start calling you, even those who don’t even know you. I was on Hip TV for an interview, and when it was aired, I started getting even strange calls from people who didn’t bother about me in a long while. But I don’t react to them, I just answer them kindly. But everything made me stronger and I now know who my real friends are and I’m going to roll with them and they will enjoy me,” he said.

Because you will be saying you are the most supreme and the other person will say he is. It depends on how each of us are taking it some take it too personal.
“But right now, I don’t have to compete with anybody because I am moving and when I am moving, I don’t listen to distractions.”

My Beef With Bovi - Comedian, AY
It has been long registered in the minds of some entertainment buffs in Nigeria that there's an ongoing animosity between two popular comedians in the country, AY and Bovi.
Although this kind of loggerheads, better known as 'beef' in this part of the world, is common in the showbiz industry. Those who know about these two rib-crackers have continued to wonder what went wrong with the once jolly fellows; AY and Bovi.
Here is what the multi-talented comedian and producer of the hit comic film, ‘30 Days in Atlanta’, AY said, when inquired to know his grouse with Bovi.
"I won't call it a beef, but rather I will say just like we have in churches where after the General Overseer (GO) trains some pastors, then they go to start up their own churches. But in this case, there's no G.O, but we all have come to a point where we have to go fend for ourselves and gather our sheep. I have no grudge with anybody, I just learn to do my thing the way it should be done."
Denrele Causes Stir For ‘Cuddling’ Married Actress
Popular television host, Denrele Edun, is not a visitor to controversies. Some will not easily forget the stir a photograph of himself and Charly Boy caused some years ago when the picture hit the internet.
Few days ago, the jovial TV personality was at the home of Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke for a get-together and those at the exclusive occasion had fun, going by photographs from the party currently flying around on the internet.
But one of the photographs has raised dust.
In the controversial image, Denrele Edun was captured holding the married actress from behind, while his hands were almost on Chacha’s ‘milk factory’.
Some critics have questioned both celebs for going that far to have fun, but Chacha has said, “Eyes So Dim..Can’t See Ma Self..Blame It On D Pic. #Blur #Ssshhh In between and @denrele_edun as always floored me with his fabulousity. Mtcheww, walking –away. Beefing.”
Bad Market For Iyabo Ojo As Stars, Fans And Media Shun Her Movie Premiere
If Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Ojo, had known what would befall her on the Premiere of her latest movie “Silence” at the Silverbird Cinemas, Ikeja, Lagos, she would have opted to have a re-think before heading to the Cinemas.
The whole horrible experience reportedly started when the film which was scheduled to screen on Friday at the Silverbird Cinemas in Port Harcourt, Ikeja and Uyo, was shunned by many movie-goers who trooped out to watch more hilarious and exciting films.
Consequently, the management was forced to shift the schedule and allocate another film to screen in the hall.
Then on Saturday at 12:15 pm, at same venue, the lead actress in the movie, Iyabo Ojo was present, looking lost and full of bewilderment at the poor turn-out. She walked into the cinema hall with exactly 12 people to watch the film. While the film was showing, not less than four people walked out and never came back.
Worse still, inside the hall, viewers apparently aware of her presence, talked in hush tones, criticising the quality of the movie.
One of the angry viewers expressed her dissatisfaction thus, “I thought Nollywood has gone beyond this level. Imagine poor picture, boring acting, just shouting…she has really abused the child in the movie.
We have watched a good number of Nollywood films here and people kept coming back, but this is not a
good movie for cinema. Let it stay at Ebinpejo Lane or Alaba, not here.”
Another fan who couldn't hold her anger, wanted her money to be refunded.
“I think I should keep silent. You see, I knew it the moment most of the people here were not asking for the ticket of the film to buy and I thought about it, but I just made the move when I saw her around, but now, I wish I could ask her to refund my money. I don’t blame her anyway, I blame Silverbird that scheduled the yeye film.”
It could be recalled that Nigerian films have continued to record impressive turnout of moviegoers at every schedule. Movies like AY’s “30 Days In Atlanta” is still showing with huge and spiral grossing record at the cinemas. It has been screening to audiences across the nation since December 1st, 2014.
Other Nollywood movies with good records include “Folly,” “Champagne,” “Don’t Cry For Me.”
“Silence,” is a movie on child abuse, which stars talented acts like, Alex Usifo, Joseph Benjamin, Tina Mba, Faithia Balogun, Doris Simeon and Ronke Ojo but records have it that the movie is a complete deviation from the central theme and also had a poor media publicity.
There's Nothing Wrong For Gospel Artistes To Sing At Night Clubs - Lanre Teriba aka Atorise
After he was highly criticised by many for performing at night clubs, controversial unusual gospel artiste
Lanre Teriba, popularly known as Atorise, has this candid reply for his critics.
" I am the first gospel artiste to take God’s message of liberation and deliverance through songs to night clubs. I don’t see anything wrong in it, but it is all to the glory of God.
I just want people to know that whatever they can enjoy out there, they can enjoy it with God. I perform at parties and I also encourage many gospel artistes to play at parties so they can make a living for themselves."
The chief executive officer of LTEE Records, a music company he recently set up to give wings to the dreams of burgeoning singers also maintained that all the controversies that trails him are neither affecting his relationship with your fans nor clients.
According to his words, "Jesus knows me and I know him, every other thing to me is secondary and inconsequential.
I don’t sing about myself and none of my songs is about me. God directs and He fills my mouth anytime I want to compose any song. I don’t know where it comes from all I know is that God loves me and I won’t disappoint Him.
There are lots of people who have gone astray, God is still using that song to bring back the lost sheep. It is not about me but about God who sent me. All my lyrics are beyond me and they are coming from God. Anytime I open my mouth, He fills it with His songs."
I Wish I Have A Sugar Mummy - Actor, Odunlade Adekola
At a point, it was trendy to date older women for money, an act that was more common in the Nigerian Entertainment industry.
In a recent interview, popular Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola, was asked if he has joined his colleagues to keep sugar mummies. He confessed that he would have loved to have if he was 'sharp' enough.
"I am not sharp at all and that is why I do not have a sugar mummy. If I was a sharp person, I should have had. I have never even thought of it because my lifestyle is too dull for that. If you are dull, you are dull; there is no two way about it."
He also cleared the issue of the alleged battle of supremacy between him and his colleague, Mr. Latin.
Odunlade said, "people that started this rumour did so because they wanted to put food on their table and they decided to do it with my name. Mr. Latin is my boss and has been so supportive since I started in the industry. He is a brother and we talk a lot on the telephone. The only time I ever travelled to Austria, he was the one that facilitated it."
He also insisted that Globacom endorsement deal has never brought any form of rivalry between them.
"Before they contacted him, I was the first person they called. They asked me to help them contact him and that was all. When they called me, I immediately called him and said, “Oga, Glo called me and asked for your number.” When they wanted to sign the deal, he told me and he has been with them since. So there is no such thing between us."

Poverty Is An Evil Spirit -.Basket Mouth
Rib cracking comedian, Basket Mouth, has every course to be thankful to God for a successful career since delving into the showbiz industry of Nigeria.
In 1991, Bright discovered his skills in drumming, which he did for over 5 years after wards. During his days of being an instrumentalist for his church and a band at that point, he also discovered his skills in rap music and later diverted into that path in 1994.
In 1995, he, his friends and brother formed a group called da psychopaths. It had seven members but they split before they could even release an album or single. Bright and his brother Godwin immediately formed a group called d oddz and later added a third member (muyiwa osunrobi). Together, they did a couple of shows but couldn’t break through the music industry as their brand of rap wasn’t accepted then.
His first standup comedy was a disaster because the crowd got irritated and booed him off the stage. Later that year (1999), he came back after a series of research on what brand of comedy could sell in UNIBEN; that was the beginning of Basket mouth’s inception and acceptation into the world of standup comedy. His professional stand up act came into existence in the year 2001 and his big break came when he met Ali Baba. In 1999, Basket mouth got involved in events management alongside his comedy acts.
In one of his interviews, the comedian did reveal that he went into comedy because of a woman and ever since, he has been doing well for himself.
In his throwback picture shared recently, the comedian abused poverty stating that it is an evil spirit.
